Part of the park is the Kotišina Botanical Garden, founded by Dr. Fr. Jure Radić for the purpose of scientific research and observation, and the protection and conservation of the plant life of the mountain. It is located above the village of Kotišina, at an altitude of 350 to 500 meters.
The garden area extends over 16.5 ha and is not a botanical garden in the classical sense. Plants are not introduced according to a certain rule, but as a fenced part of nature where the native fauna will be kept.
